Latest Updates On High Limit Sprint Car Series Schedule
If you’re looking for the latest updates on the High Limit Sprint Car Series schedule, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve got all the information you need, including the dates for every race, plus the locations, if they’re online.
Grandview Speedway
The first High Limit Sprint Car Series event of 2023 will take place on July 25 at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. Promoted by four-time World of Outlaws champion Brad Sweet, the new sprint car series will pay $23,023 to win.
High Limit officials released the first three events of the season on Monday. Two events will take place at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania and one will be at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.
This year’s schedule will include 11 points races with a total purse of $250,000. The High Limit Sprint Car Series will have stops at 10 states, including California, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arizona, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Florida. In addition to a stand-alone race at Grandview, the series will travel to a few tracks on the USAC Non-Wing National Tour.
Kutztown’s Action Track
The High Limit Sprint Car Series has just released its full schedule for the 2023 season. This list includes nine stops in the continental U.S., two Canadian events and the aforementioned novelty. They have also added a new wrinkle to the equation with a banking feature and a little nudge-nudge banking.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I am an owner/operator of a small Midwestern short track and will be hosting two of the races in the near future. As for my part, I’m looking forward to seeing what the other guys can do, especially with the addition of a banking feature.
While the list of High Limit Sprint Car Series stops will be short, a couple of high-octane events will be gracing our tracks in the coming months. For starters, I’m excited to be able to show off my newest sponsorship partner, the Sheldon Haudenschild High Limit Buckeye Brawl.
Eldora Speedway
Eldora Speedway has hosted many six-figure races in its short history. The track was originally a 1/4-mile clay dirt oval. Eventually it became a half-mile dirt oval. It is now home to a number of different racing events including sprint cars, NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, stock and modified races.
Currently, the track hosts the Dirt Late Model Dream, Kings Royal and World 100. They are among the most popular late model racing events in the country.
In addition to the King’s Royal and World 100, the track hosts modified races, local late models and stock races. The track has hosted 16 six-figure races in its history.
Eldora Speedway is owned by Tony Stewart. He purchased the venue from legendary promotor Earl Baltes in 2004. Since that time, the track has expanded its race schedule to three full nights of competition.
Kutztown’s SpeedSTRs division
The High Limit Sprint Car Series is coming back west to Huset’s Speedway in August. This is the first of two big races to be held at the speedway.
The first one will be on Tuesday, August 15. It is a $23,023-to-win contest. A PPB Bonus is available for drivers who lead laps 30, 40 and 50.
It will be a big week for SpeedSTRs. They will also be on the race card at Grandview Speedway on July 25. There is a special promotion for kids that are 5 and under. FloRacing will provide live coverage of the event.
SpeedSTRs are a specialty purpose open cockpit car designed by Richard Tobias. The cars are designed to reach victory lane at a 3/8-mile oval.
Tim Buckwalter is the leader in the SpeedSTRs division at Kutztown’s Action Track. He has won three times at the speedway.
Sheldon Haudenschild High Limit Buckeye Brawl
Sheldon Haudenschild and the High Limit Sprint Car Series are teaming up to put on the Buckeye Brawl a la Wayne County Speedway in September. Among the stars of this show are defending SSV champ Austin Jones, a slew of open wheel champions and an assortment of other sprint car and superspeedway aficionados. As a bonus, the race will be broadcast on FloRacing. This is the first time the storied track has rolled out their own television show.
The Buckeye Brawl a la Wayne county Speedway is a two day event, with Friday and Saturday races scheduled for the aforementioned dates. On the grand scale, this event is a bit of a no brainer. For starters, there’s a prize purse to be had. One lucky winner can walk away with a tidy sum of more than $35,000.
For all the hoopla surrounding this event, the competition is stiff and the Buckeye Brawl a la Wooster, Ohio based driver has to be a bit jittery. While the big names are ensconced in the confines of the Speedway, the likes of Kyle Larson and his finley farm team will make their mark on the track.
